If you are using the patient registration feature within Genie, you may be receiving tasks related to unsent letters in the GenieSync Outgoing directory:
This is caused by acknowledgements of the patient registration forms being received and Genie does not know how to handle them, so it places them in this outgoing directory.
As of this date, this is an outstanding issue that Genie are looking to resolve in a future release.
In order to stop these tasks from coming through, you will need access to your Genie server.
1. Navigate to the drive Genie is installed on. For our hosted customers, it is the G drive.
2. Open the Genie folder, then GenieSync, and finally the Outgoing folder.
3. Highlight all the HL7 files and delete them. These are just acknowledgements and do not contain any patient data.
4. Within Genie client you can delete all the tasks related to this issue.
