Answering a Second Call Without Using the Call Park Feature

Placing a Call on Hold
If you need to place an active call on hold, you can simply use the DSS hold key under the
screen if available or the dedicated hold button as shown on the right.
Please note if you have the call park feature, we recommend using this feature for your call
management.
Resuming the Call
If you have placed an active call on hold and wish to resume simply select the resume
Multifunction key if available or by simply selecting the dedicated hold button

Answering a Second Call Without Using the Call Park Feature
When a second call arrives while you are already on a call, you will hear a beeping on the
active call and the screen will display the incoming second call scrolling at the bottom of the
screen. If you wish to place your original call on hold and answer incoming second call,
simply press the answer button. This will place your original call on hold and answer the
new incoming call.
Please note if you have the call park feature, we recommend using this feature for your call
management.
Swapping between active calls
If you have answered a call while already on a call then you will see a new Multifunction key appear
called ‘swap’. This will automatically swap between active calls placing the inactive call on hold. The
active call will be displayed on the screen as in the first picture below.
When you have completed the active call, the inactive call will then be displayed on the screen but
will remain on hold as in the second picture below. To resume the call, press the Multifunction key
labelled ‘hold’.
Please note if you have the call park feature, we recommend using this feature for your call
management.
Placing a Call on Park
Using the call park feature is the recommended way to manage your calls. The call park feature
allows you manage multiple calls by parking them in up to 9 slots.
When you wish to park a call, press the Call Park button and the slot the call is parked is displayed on
the screen and the parked button will light up in red. Your call will be placed in the next available
slot.
The picture below shows the call park button, and the available call park slots.
To place a call on hold press the Call Park button, do not select the park button directly. When you
have pressed the Call park button your call will be placed in the first available park and the position
will be displayed on the screen and stated on the phone. The Parked call will then flash red in its
position.
The screen below shows a parked call in Park 1.
As you can see the call has been placed in Park 1. To answer this parked call, simply press the Park
one key and the call will be answered.
If you wish to park the call once more, simple select the Call park button again and the call will be
parked in the next available park.
